U.S. officials have claimed that the casualties from the Russia-Ukraine war, which is set to enter 18th month, are nearing 500,000. The remark came as the Russian defence ministry released its daily update, stating that over 780 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed in the last 24 hours during fierce battles along the frontline.
