The Trump administration has issued a stark ultimatum to Kyiv and Moscow that the U.S. will withdraw from its mediator role in the Russia-Ukraine war if both sides fail to present "concrete proposals" to end the conflict. At a State Department briefing on April 29, spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated that Secretary of State Marco Rubio relayed the Trump’s growing impatience, emphasising that “how we proceed from here is a decision that belongs now to the president."
