Vijay Mallya Extradition Case: Court admits evidence by CBI

Businessman and liquor baron Vijay Mallya appeared in Westminster Magistrates' court today for a hearing on his extradition case. The UK court admitted the bulk of evidence submitted by the Indian officials. The case is said to be in its closing stage and the judge is expect to indicate the plans of the verdict in the next hearing on July 11. Mallya is sought by India for financial misconduct to tune of Rs 9,000 crore that he owes to the Indian banks. He has been on bail since he was arrested in April last year by the Scotland Yard.
