Kenya offered a lesson on borders to the world at the UN Security Council meet in New York convened on the request of Ukraine. Kenyan representative to the UN, Martin Kimani took a firm position against the breach of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. “Kenya, and almost every African country, was birthed by the ending of the empire. Our borders were not of our own drawing. They were drawn in the distant colonial metropoles of London, Paris and Lisbon with no regard for the ancient nations they cleaved apart,” said Kimani.
