Watch: W.H.O. warns of 5 lakh deaths in Europe amid major covid-19 surge

The World Health Organization says that Europe and Central Asia could see another half a million deaths by February next year. It said the Europe is 'once again at the epicentre' of the coronavirus pandemic, as cases surge amid 'insufficient vaccination coverage and the relaxation of public health and social measures'. Meanwhile, Europe's drug watchdog says it could give countries advice on the emergency use of Merck's anti-Covid pill, as non-EU Britain becomes the first in the world to approve it.
