- After US' drone strike in Kabul on Aug 29, eyewitnesses recount how their families and kin were killed. In Kabul, two damaged cars are being seen after the US claimed that it killed an Islamic State bomber who was planning to target the Kabul airport. Earlier, reports had suggested that 9 members of a family including 6 children were killed in the strike by US. However, the US had said that it is aware of the casualties but several powerful explosions were followed by the initial strike that could have resulted in the death of civilians. Central Command’s spokesperson Capt Bill Urban said that the powerful explosions after the strike indicate that a large amount of explosives were there in the vehicle.
