Zelensky, Starmer, Macron and Merz hold ‘critical’ Downing Street peace talks

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky joined UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at Downing Street for intensive talks on a potential peace roadmap for the Russia‑Ukraine war. Emerging from more than two hours of discussions, Starmer called it a “critical stage” in the push for peace, while Zelensky stressed that Ukraine “can’t manage” without both American and European support, underscoring Kyiv’s reliance on united Western backing.
