Anand Jon's lawyers hope for new trial

The case surrounding convicted celebrity fashion designer Anand Jon continues to develop as his lawyers announced on Friday that they are petitioning for a new trial. Indian-born Jon was convicted in November last year of raping and sexually assaulting aspiring models as young as 14. But Jon's trial has come under scrutiny with his lawyers alleging that his original key defender, was threatened by the prosecution and that the district's attorney's office tried to manipulate witnesses.
