India-China aims to strengthen trade ties

The Beijing Olympics Torch was greeted with human rights demonstrations all over the world. However, when it travelled through India there were very few protest… In fact, India and China are setting out to strengthen trade ties. Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee travelled to China to open a new Consulate in the relatively unheard of area of Guangdong, now the richest province of the country. The two Asian giants are all set to trade a whopping 60 billion dollars this year.
