Netanyahu warns US against 'Iran's quest for nuclear weapons'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (neh-ten-YAH'-hoo) is thanking the United States and President Barack Obama for aiding Israel, and warning of the threat that Iran poses to Israel's survival. Netanyahu on Tuesday defended his controversial speech to Congress. He said he regretted that it was being perceived as political.Netanyahu said he had a profound obligation to speak about the danger from Iran and said all efforts must be made to stop it from developing a nuclear weapon. He spoke as the United States and other Western nations engaged in negotiations with Iran to curb its nuclear program.
