Pakistani opposition parties tried to forge a united front on Wednesday to end the emergency rule imposed by President Musharraf as he said that it was necessary for fair elections. A key alliance could be the recently inflamed relationship between former Prime Ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif. Meanwhile, the General has said that he has considered resigning for the betterment of Pakistan.
