Pakistan coalition parties to hold talks

Pakistan's two key coalition partners, the Pakistan's Peoples Party and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz have made progress in talks to save the month-old government, but they have more issues to iron out on Thursday deadline the restoration of sacked judges. Any cracks in the coalition would heighten concerns that a nuclear-armed Pakistan, a US ally under Musharraf, will suffer prolonged political instability at a time when it is facing challenges from Islamist militants and acute economic problems.
