In Pakistan, the lawyers' protest has become a daily routine since President Pervez Musharraf imposed Emergency rule on November 3 and deposed the incumbent judiciary. Abandoning their legal tomes and chanting "Go Musharraf Go," the Islamabad Bar Association has decided to cut the lawyers' workday by half until Musharraf reinstates a host of judges he deposed to fend off challenges to his re-election.
