Pakistan releases Indian prisoners
Updated on Aug 13, 2007 11:15 pm IST
Pakistan on Sunday released 100 Indian fishermen, including 28 children, ahead of the 60th anniversary of independence being celebrated by the South Asian neighbours this week. India is also expected to release all the 48 Pakistani fishermen and 24 civilian prisoners on Tuesday. The two uneasy neighbours frequently arrest each other's fishermen for intruding into their waters despite a thaw in relations since they launched a peace process in 2004.
