Hindu community across Pakistan celebrated Holi, the vibrant festival of colours. In Karachi men, women and children from the tiny minority community gathered at big and small temple compounds, as they splashed, sprayed and smeared colours and greeted each other while a bonfire was lit in the evening. The festival was celebrated in other cities and towns of the country where the Hindu community resides. Celebrated in the month of Phagun (February-March) according to the Hindu calendar, Holi is associated with the uninhibited expression of love and affection.
