Party workers protest against Sharif's poll bar

Nawaz Sharif's disqualification from the by-elections for a National Assembly seat has incited protests from his party. PML-N's party workers blamed President Pervez Musharraf for their leader's disqualification. To protests against the decision, they took to the streets in several cities of Pakistan on Tuesday. Several hundred Sharif party workers protested in Lahore and Multan, burning tyres and chanting: "Go Musharraf, go."
