About 20,000 people gathered in the village of Garhi Khuda Bux to pay their last respects to slain opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. Husband of the murdered Pakistani opposition leader Asif Ali Zardari is said to have used the climax of the election campaign for the 40-day Muslim mourning period to garner a posthumous election victory for his late wife.
