Rocket attack kills 8 in Pakistan

At least seven people were killed and 30 wounded when Islamist militants fired rockets into Pakistan's northwestern town of Bannu on Wednesday. City police officials said four rockets hit Bannu, three of which fell into civilian areas. 31 civilians and seven policemen were also wounded in the attack. Bannu have seen a string of shootings and bombings blamed on Taliban militants who have been expanding their influence along the Afghan border.
