Russian forces take over Crimean military bases

Ukrainian soldiers filed out of navy headquarters in Sevastopol on Wednesday after it was seized by hundreds of pro-Moscow activists and Russian troops, AFP reporters saw. Ukrainian soldiers left the Novoozernoe military base as Russian forces hung the country's crest on the gates. At another military base in Simferopol Ukrainian soldiers remained inside while Russian forces stood outside.
