Saving lives still priority: Wen Jiabao

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, who has tirelessly toured devastated areas since Monday, said rescuing people was still a priority 88 hours after the moment the earthquake struck. State media has reported severe devastation in villages of the remote county, cut off by landslides about 100 km northwest of Chengdu. The total death toll from China's earthquake could soar to more than 50,000, as rescuers struggle to help survivors.
