Watch | After teen killer, another student arrested at Australian school

A 15-year-old boy of Iraqi-Kurdish background shot dead a police accountant in Sydney on 2nd October. Responding officers then shot dead the high school teenager named Farhad Jabar in a brief gun battle.

The killing of New South Wales Police accountant Curtis Cheng is being considered as an attack “linked to terrorism”.

Meanwhile, a high school student belonging to the same school as Farhad was arrested on Tuesday for threatning the Sydney Police station. In a social media post that read “Merrylands Police station is the next target, hope they burn in hell.”, the teenager apparently threatened and intimidated the officers, leading to his arrest. He was also taken to Parramatta Police station, the site of last week's killing.

Incidentally, Tuesday was also the first day back at the school for students, many of whom said they were surprised when they heard the news on Jabar.

Muslim community leaders in Sydney also expressed shock at the shooting of Cheng, calling for more to be done to stop extremist leaders from recruiting vulnerable youths.
