Watch | Diver dances with sharks happily swimming around her

Renowned diver and shark handler Cristina Zenato has appeared in a video which shows her “dancing” amongst Caribbean Reef Sharks off the coast of Grand Bahama. It shows Zenato slowly rotating amongst dozens of sharks which appear to be happily swimming around her in very close proximity.

The exercise, which has been carried out since 1995, is part of a course run by Zenato to teach students about trusting sharks and how to behave around them. Zenato uses food to persuade the sharks to move around her. While spinning she holds out her arms to demonstrate the animals are not interested in biting or attacking.
