Watch: Exciting glimpse of what you can expect from NASA's mission to Pluto

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft is at Pluto's doorstep, following an incredible journey of nine years and 3 billion miles (4.83 billion kilometers). It will speed past Pluto on July 14, 2015, beaming back high resolution photos (and invaluable data) of the dwarf planet's surface for the first time in human history. A new video, made by Erik Wernquist and commissioned by the National Space Society, takes you on a tour of the solar system, flying by all the planets we've already visited while offering an exciting glimpse of the upcoming New Horizons mission at Pluto this summer. Meanwhile, the probe is already sending back the most detailed images we've ever taken of Pluto — but the dwarf planet still only appears as a hazy point of light.
