Watch: Terrifying footage shows Taiwan typhoon tossing vehicles, people in air

Super Typhoon Soudelor ripped through Taiwan with rainfall not seen in over a century and forced evacuation of more than 3.34 lakh people after it made landfall on saturday. The typhoon killed six people before moving across the Taiwan Strait and slamming into the Fujian province. In this terrifying footage that has emerged from the region, the typhoon is seen tossing people and vehicles several metres into the air. Typhoons are common at this time of year in the South China Sea and Pacific, picking up strength from warm waters before losing it over land.
