Watch | Vivid festival lights up Sydney

A number of city landmarks were illuminated in colour as the annual Vivid Sydney festival opened with more than 90 light installations across the city. The 23-day festival of light, music and ideas is the largest of its kind in the world. Over 150 artists from 23 countries have united to create the light show, which includes colourful paint canvas projections on the Museum of Contemporary Art. Customs House projected a creation using fantasy story book characters with birds, lizards and dragons flying across the facade of the building, captivating onlookers.
