Xi Jinping dares Biden; Chinese PLA holds military drills near Taiwan

• Days after U.S. President Joe Biden claimed that his nation will interfere if China continues with its plans to forcibly unify with Taiwan, People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a military exercise around Taiwan. This came as Xi JInping's warning against the island nation's collusive activities with the United States. “The PLA Eastern Theater Command recently organised multiple military services and branches to conduct a joint alert patrol and realistic combat exercises in and above the waters around the island of Taiwan,” Senior Colonel Shi Yi, a spokesperson of the Eastern Theatre Command, said.
