Dublin, CA fire map: Videos capture blaze near Camp Parks and San Ramon

Parks Fire broke out in the Dublin area, with flames spreading near Camp Parks and San Ramon, California. As of now, no evacuation warnings have been issued.

UPDATE: The Parks Fire, which broke out Friday afternoon in the Dublin area, has burned approximately 117 acres in the Camp Parks region, according to the latest update from Cal Fire. As of now, the fire is 50% contained, and forward progress has been successfully stopped.

The blaze ignited shortly before 3:30 p.m. near Dougherty and Fall Creek roads, quickly spreading through dry vegetation. Roughly two hours later, Cal Fire announced that crews had halted the fire’s forward movement.

“View from above shows the approximately 117 acre #ParksFire near Dublin. Forward progress has been stopped. Great coordinated response by @CAL_FIRE @AlamedaCoFire and our partners. Incredible teamwork, strategic suppression, and community protection in action,” Cal Fire wrote in a post on X.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY: A brush fire, now officially named the Parks Fire, broke out Friday afternoon in the Dublin area and is spreading near Camp Parks and San Ramon, California, according to live fire maps.

In an earlier post on X, Alameda County Firefighters wrote, “Smoke is visible in Dublin. Your #ALCOFirefighters are currently assisting @campparks.firefighters with a vegetation fire that is approximately 10-15 acres, burning in grass, with structures possibly being threatened, per Air Attack overhead. Air Attack has requested two additional multi-engine air tankers.”

As of now, no structures are under immediate threat, and no evacuation orders or warnings have been issued
