KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman is taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing, her management said in a statement to fans. According to Rolling Stone, the decision followed “open and thoughtful conversations,” with HYBE and Geffen Records adding that they fully support the move and that the group remains committed to one another and their fans.
The announcement comes shortly after the group performed at the Grammy Awards, where they were nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Rolling Stone reported.
During Manon’s hiatus, the remaining members will continue scheduled activities.

Rolling Stone previously reported that members of KATSEYE have faced death threats and online harassment since their debut, with Manon describing the experience as “very terrorizing on the mind.” The outlet also noted that the group has worked with a therapist to cope with the pressures of modern stardom.
In an earlier interview cited by Rolling Stone, Manon said creating the group’s EP Beautiful Chaos felt authentic and detail-driven, calling the process “a really fun experience” that reflected who they are as artists.
