Notorious Indian underworld don Bablu Shrivastav, who is currently in a Lucknow jail, sent his henchmen to gun down Nepalese media tycoon Jamim Shah, who allegedly had links with ISI and Dawood Ibrahim, police said.
The police has also released the photographs of those allegedly involved in the murder of Shah. Babbu alias Deepak
Shahi, hatched the plot to kill 47-year-old Shah on the directives of Bablu Shrivastav, says the police.
Shah, a Nepali media tycoon and owner of a private TV channel, was gunned down in the heart of the capital on
February 7 amid speculation that the killing could be linked to his alleged association with the underworld.
According to the police, Mohamad Bakar Saiyed, an Indian national was driving the motorbike and an unnamed
sharpshooter in his twenties gunned down Shah, Acting Inspector General Madan Bahadur Khadka told reporters.
The police has released pictures of the sharp shooter and those involved in the plot to kill Shah. Shah was the
chairman of Space Times Network, that operated a TV channel.
Bablu was also the mastermind behind the killing of a Nepali lawmaker Mirza Dilshad Beg in Kathmandu in 1998.
Nepalese Communication Minister Shanker Pokharel has also said that 'international force was behind' the murder of
Shah. He said that the government will do all it can to provide security to media.
