A total of 21,040 barrels of oil leaked into the Gulf of Mexico was collected by siphoning systems on Saturday, BP said in a statement on Sunday.
The total, some stored for processing and some flared or burned, was down from 24,500 barrels on Friday due to a 10-hour partial shutdown starting late on Friday to fix a problem.
