Egypt's Hijab woman 'martyred' in Germany awaits funeral

Egypt's coastal historic city of Alexandria, awaits an official funeral for Marwa al-Shirbini, known here as 'martyr of Hijab' after she was killed in Germany by a racist who stabbed her 18 times.

The body of the 32-year-old Egyptian pregnant mother arrived to Cairo from Germany late last night. She was killed in Germany by a racist national of Russian descent who stabbed her 18 times to death in a German court after she had won a defamation case against him. He was fined 2,800 Euros for his insulting remarks.

Her husband, who was also stabbed six times in the incident and received a bullet fired from the security officers by mistake, still remains in a coma in Germany . He was finishing a scholarship at a German institute in genetics.

Marwa and the young German had quarreled in a park where her 4-year old son was playing. The young German then called her a 'Muslim terrorist' because of the veil she was wearing. She replied by an official law suit against him and winning it later.
