Goody's son not to attend her funeral

Jade Goody's two sons will not attend the funeral of their mother as it would be too upsetting for them. Boys' father Jeff Brazier, and Goody's mother Jackiey Budden are said to have made the decision to spare Bobby (5) and Freddie(4) from further sadness, the Sun online reported.

"The boys are so young — Jackey said she doesn't think their broken hearts will be able to bear it. It's also about the safekeeping of their memories of their mum for when they are older," a source said.

Goody's funeral, scheduled to take place on April 4, would be a "grand celebration" of her life.

A statement from the funeral directors, FA Albin of Bermondsey, South London said, "Jade's coffin will be carried by the company's vintage Rolls hearse followed by a cortege of four Daimler limousines and her favourite car, a Bentley."

The funeral procession will pass through the state where Goody grew up and cross Tower Bridge before arriving at St John The Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex.

A public address system will broadcast the midday service to fans outside, while proceedings will also be screened inside the church hall. Following the service, the procession will move to a private burial ground.
