The Daily Times reports that unidentified people at Gurdwara Khat Wari Darbar in Store Ganj area of Shikarpur had torn 24 pages of the sacred book causing annoyance and fear among the Sindhi Sikhs.

According to the report, a case has been registered under Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unidentified people in the local police station.

ASP Tariq Wilayat said the police were on the lookout for the culprit. The recent tussle between the Sikh and Hindu communities has created doubts that some local Hindus might be involved.
