Pakistan is hoping to clear out the remaining pockets of Taliban resistance in its northwest in the next two to three days, the defence secretary said in Singapore on Sunday.

"Operations in Swat, Buner and adjoining areas have almost met complete success," Secretary of Defence Syed Athar Ali said at a security forum in Singapore.
"Only five to ten per cent job is remaining and hopefully within the next two to three days these pockets of resistance will be cleared," he said.
