The accident occurred when a high-pressure storage tank containing silicon tetrachloride exploded in Chifeng City in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region during the weekend.
The blast in the Shengsen Silicon Technology Development Co. Ltd. also injured another person.
The injured's have been confirmed to be in a stable condition in the hospital, according to local authorities.
People returned to their homes after local environmental authorities announced that the atmospheric conditions in the town were normal.
Company officials said, their firm is building and installing production equipments capable of producing 3,000 tons of silicon dioxide every year.
Police and work safety officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
