As Bollywood gears up for what looks like an action-packed 2013, filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to make our stunt sequences look world class. After Dhoom:3 and Krrish 3 (also releasing next year), the latest filmmaker to be calling in the stunt choreographers from Hollywood is Sajid Nadiadwala.
For his directorial debut, Kick — a remake of the 2009 Telugu hit by the same name — Sajid has got international stunt directors Philippe Guégan and Spiro Razatos on board.
“Sajid wants the best action sequences possible for his film. Salman’s last few films have all been high on action, so he wants to push the envelope further. He wants his film to have different and world-class stunts that people haven’t seen Salman perform before,” says an insider.
Both stunt directors are expected to come to Mumbai in December to brainstorm and discuss the sequences with Sajid. “They will also choreograph some of the action sequences,” says the insider, adding that, “If all goes well, Salman will also meet them and discuss some of the stunts,” adds the insider. “Sajid is also going all out because he knows that next year, he will be up against Dhoom:3 and Krrish 3, and he wants Kick to be right up there with its stunts,” adds the insider.
Despite repeated attempts, Sajid remained unavailable for a comment.
