Bollywood actor Sayani Gupta talks about how Shah Rukh Khan helped her out with rehearsals and scenes during the shoot of their upcoming film.

After sharing screen space with Kalki Koechlin in Margarita With A Straw (2014), Bollywood actor Sayani Gupta is now working with Shah Rukh Khan in their upcoming film. The actor maintains that though he is a megastar, SRK didn’t behave like one on the sets.

“He was humble, generous and extremely committed,” says Sayani, revealing that the actor often approached her to rehearse for their scenes together. “Mostly, I am the one hounding other actors for rehearsals. But SRK is the first actor I have worked with who approached me and asked, “Lines kar le please?” (can we rehearse the lines, please?).

The actor goes on to talk about how the superstar would also give her cues during their shoots, to help her with the scenes. “A senior actor never gives cues to his or her co-actors. That’s how it usually is. But Shah Rukh sir would always wait to give cues, even when he wasn’t in the frame. He didn’t have to do it, but he did,” says Sayani.

She adds that she hopes to do more projects with SRK. “I just feel that I have been incredibly lucky to work with him, and to have learnt so much from him. But I am greedy; I wish I do many more projects with him.”
