Singh, who was the chief of Delhi Commission for Women when Sheila Dikshit was the Delhi chief minister, criticised her party leadership for not listening to workers’ grievances.

In a press conference at her residence, she said Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken had allegedly misbehaved with her, for which she lodged a compliant with the high command but no action was taken.

“I was seeking an appointment from vice president Rahul Gandhi for the last one year but could not succeed. When I failed to get my grievance heard, I decided to step down from the post,” the former RK Puram MLA said.

Singh alleged that Congress does not practice what it preaches and five district presidents and 75 block presidents have resigned from the party due to unfriendly attitude of party seniors.
