During interrogation, the men sad their gang was named ‘Katihar’ and the kingpin was Seikh Firoz.

He has been involved in seven cases of burglaries and thefts. Earlier, his main areas of operation were Karol Bagh and North-East District, but recently he started committing night burglaries in South Delhi.

“All members of this gang hail from Katihar in Bihar. They roped in Sheikh Amjad in their group, and his auto was used in burglaries. All members of the gang are expert in breaking any type of lock within seconds. They usually target locked flats in posh areas, residential apartments to steal cash, LCDs and other electronic items,” DCP South, Ishwar Singh said.
