DGCA suspends helicopter operations from Sahastradhara helipad

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered suspension of helicopter operations from the Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun following serious safety violations that came to light during a recent check.

The regulator has also suspended two aviation companies from operating charter flights after it was found that they hadn’t been following the mandatory norms with regard to passenger safety and fitness of pilots.
