Sindhu wins first match since Rio, enters Denmark Open second round
Sindhu won her first competitive match since clinching silver at the Rio Olympics.
Rio Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu made a winning start to her campaign at the Denmark Open, defeating China’s He Bingjiao in straight games in the women’s singles competition of the $700,000 Premier Super Series badminton event in Odense, Denmark, on Thursday.

Sixth seed Sindhu, playing her first event since the Rio Olympics, notched up a 21-14, 21-19 victory over Bingjiao.
This is the fourth meeting between Sindhu and Bingjiao; the Indian had lost twice to the Chinese while her only victory came in the Malaysia Open in April.
The 21-year-old from Hyderabad will next take on World No. 12 Sayaka Sato of Japan. Sindhu had reached the final of the Denmark Open last year.
