3 dead, 6 injured after car hits lorry in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district
Three people died while six were injured in the early hours of Thursday after a car hit a lorry near the Takkellapadu village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, according to news agency ANI.
The accident took place at 2.30 am, when a family from Madhira town of Telangana was coming back after visiting Lord Raja Rajeshwara temple in Vemulawada, a sub inspector of police posted at Chillakallu police station in Krishna district told ANI.
“At 2.30 am, their vehicle hit a lorry that was going ahead of them on a flyover in Takkellapadu village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. Three persons (two females and one male) died on the spot. Remaining six persons including the driver (two children, one adult female and three adult males) are injured,” the SI said adding that a case was registered and probe was underway.
The police also said the six injured were provided first aid at the government hospital in Jaggayyapeta and were later shifted to the government hospital in Khammam.
This accident in Andhra Pradesh comes after six members of a family died and five other were injured after their car collided with a truck on the Hyderabad-Bijapur national highway near Chevella in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district on December 2.
