Actor and musicians created quite a buzz at this fest

Starry presence from Bollywood made Youth Fest 2013, the annual cultural fest of Amity University, a fun filled extravaganza.

Held from March 21 to 23, the fest saw performances by Bollywood music duo Salim-Sulaiman and actor Jackky Bhagnani. While the duo performed numbers such as Kurbaan Hua, Ye Hai Fashion Ka Jalwa, Dance Pe Chance Maar Le and Shukrana among others, Bhagnani shook a leg on Gangnam Style.

The folk dance competition, R+78ang Raise, was attended by students in large numbers. Another sought-after event was the fashion show. Students dressed in multi-hued, trendy costumes walked the ramp which brought out the creativity and ingenuity of the student designers.

In total, 37 collections were showcased, with the themes: Echoes of Golden Saga, In vogue, 20’s Flapper and Golden muse, among others. Other competitions that
created a buzz were Aphesia- rock band, Antargni, nukkad natak, Nritya-asrh, a classical dance and Oscillation, a western dance.
