What happens when, on a night out with friends, inconvenient truths start tumbling out of the closet? Will the friendships remain or will rivalries and hatred take over? This is the central theme that runs through an upcoming play in the city, titled, Game Night. Loosely based on the classic play, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?, the play essentially revolves around a dysfunctional married couple who invites a bunch of friends over to their house for a game night.

The games played include Charade, Pictionary and Taboo. But, what starts out as an innocent night of fun and revelry, soon takes a dramatic turn after each of the friends ends up revealing their secrets. "Though it was supposed to be a friendly competition, through these games played out over the night, these friends end up confessing all the hidden secrets about themselves," says Zorion Cross, writer, director and producer of the play.

Besides an intriguing plot, the play also has an interesting lineup of young actors. "My production company aspires to promote new talent. While some actors are new, others have 1-2 years of experience. This is a big platform for all of them," says Zorion.
