After running into a controversy last month for an art installation of a garden gnome giving the Nazi salute, German artist Ottmar Hoerl, is back on the scene.

This time the artist is showcasing an art installation of 800 figures of Martin Luther at the market square in the Eastern German city of Wittenberg.

The art work under the name Martin Luther: Here I stand... will be on display till September 12. His last controversial installation was of 700 garden gnomes, which included a golden gnome with the right hand raised in a Hitler-style salute.
