The Morani family has been in the news recently because of the alleged involvement of Karim Morani in the 2G spectrum case. But that doesn’t stop Lucky Morani, the wife of Karim’s youngest brother, Mohomed, from acting in another run of the popular play, The Sound Of Music. “It has been stressful for the family and me as these are times no one ever prepared for. We are silently waiting for the truth to prevail, keeping faith in the judiciary,” says Lucky. Karim, who heads Cineyug Films, was recently sent to prison by a special CBI court.

“Everyone around has been hugely supportive and that is a great help. I have been on the creative team of my husband and have been actively involved in all stage shows and film award functions that he has directed over the years. I was a stylist before I decided to take centre stage myself,” says Lucky.

The Sound Of Music first premiered in January this year and staged shows till February, completing 10-12 runs. “The movie is a classic whose songs have been sung by young and old alike for many years. It's not a surprise that it’s been staged as a musical and has made a grand comeback by popular demand,” Lucky says about the new run which will have 10 shows in June alone.
