Tamil Nadu: 75 farmers arrested before PM Modi’s visit, let off

Seventy five farmers were arrested ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit after they tried to stage a black flag demonstration against non-implementation of river linking projects in the country, police said on Wednesday.

The protestors were members of Federation of South India Farmers Associations.

They were let off in the evening, police said.
