A 65-year-old man was run over by a speeding train near Habibganj railway crossing on Sunday. Government Railway Police (GRP), Habibganj has registered a case and started investigation.

The deceased was identified as Prakash Telam, a resident of Mahabali Nagar in Kolar. According to GRP, some passersby spotted Telam's body lying in a pool of blood near the railway track.

He sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot, said the GRP officials. The officials, however, said it was not clear whether it was an accident or suicide.
