Bhopal: Kapil steals show with 7 medals

Supreme Court judge justice SA Bobde exhorted pass out students of NLIU, Bhopal, for joining litigation over corporate jobs, on the occasion of the 7th Convocation of the varsity.

Supreme Court judge justice SA Bobde exhorted pass out students of National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, for joining litigation over corporate jobs on the occasion of the 7th Convocation of the varsity organised on Saturday.

Bobde, who was present as chief guest during the ceremony, said most of the law students prefer corporate jobs over litigation for better salaries, as a result judiciary suffers.

Chief justice of MP high court AM Khanwilkar presided over the conviction and handed over degrees to 185 students of different courses in the presence of NLIU director SS Singh.

BA LLB honours student Kapil Duggal stole the show by bagging seven out of 14 medals. Shejal Verma of BA LLB received one gold and one silver medal while as LLM graduate Swapnil Verma bagged two gold.

On the occasion, Amarchand and Mangaldas, one of the renowned laws firms of India, offered a packages of Rs 15 lakh per annum and Rs 14 lakh per annum to Kapil Duggal and Shejal Verma respectively.
