Bhopal: Nine-month-old baby falls into water-filled bucket, dies

In a freak incident, a toddler died after accidentally falling into a water-filled bucket at Jahangirabad. The child crawled into the bathroom and accidentally fell into the bucket and drowned.

In a freak incident, a toddler died after accidentally falling into a water-filled bucket at Jahangirabad, police said on Friday. Police said the child, Bajrang, unattended, apparently crawled into the bathroom and accidentally fell into the bucket and drowned.

According to child's father, Dilip Chaurasia, the child was playing alone in his house near Rashidia School and apparently crawled into the bathroom. Not finding him around for some time, the family members went around looking for him, police said.

They found the child lying in the bucket, unconscious. The child was rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, police added. The Jahangirabad police have registered a case in this regard.
